OPI- Not Like The Movies (duo chrome version).

What polish do you keep looking at and wondering why you haven’t gotten rid of it yet?
I love all my polish. I do have one that doesn’t open but I keep it for sentimental reasons.
Franken any? or I’m nervous to try it?
I have a few. One is a total fail but I have a neon purple chunky glitter franken I love!

Do you franken for new/original polish ideas or franken for polish you won’t be able to own?
Originals.

Go-to Base Coat?
OPI Nail Envy. Ladies this stuff is awesome! It strengthens your nails and helps with peeling & cracking. I have before & after pictures of my nails. I can go on for days about this product, it really is great.
Also when I’m not using NE I use Orly- Bonder which is a rubberized base coat and helps the polish last longer. Best for nail art!

Go-to Top Coat?
Poshé. It’s very similar to Seche Vite but Big 3-free!! (aka the harmful chemicals. Check your SV labels) You can use it over wet or dry polish when SV is only suppose to be used on wet polish. If you guys can’t tell I’m obsessed with finding the best base & top coats!!

What’s your sexiest polish?
Zoya- Sookie. It’s just the perfect shade of red!!

Yes of course! But Never obnoxious bling. 

I consider my nails basically nekkid if they don’ t have some kind of design?
Nope. I like using just color. I change so often I don’t always have time fore designs.

My favorite plate/tool/technique?
My litte purple polish tipper couch. Sounds silly but I love it. Also my dotting tools. I use them instead of most of my brushes now.

What I haven’t tried and want to within the month?
I’m working on ideas for Disney nails! I’m leaving in 3 weeks for Disney World and I’m trying to find the right design. Anyone have good ideas?!

What was the last nail related thing you bought?
I haven’t purchased anything since finding the extremely rare OPI Absolutely Alice & Mad As A Hatter. Nothing will compare to finding them.

How many nail related hauls have you bought in the last 7 days (on-line/in-person)? I just remembered I bought 2 polishes from the NYC Ballet Collection. Polish Amnesia ^.^

If you’ve ever been on a no-buy, how long did it last? Is that what you planned?
No I haven’t tried. I only buy what our families budget allows me to. Sometimes it’s lots of polish other not so much. I have money set aside for certain collections and I try to never pay retail price!!

All the above! It has always been a hobby of mine.
I am addicted and think polish/nail art often.
I am not anywhere near as compulsive as I once was.
I am worried moving to Japan will make this a passing fancy because they won’t move my polish. (flammable)
I think I’m packing it in my suit cases and not packing many clothes because I LOVE my nail polish & can’t leave it!!

Mono Mix Mani

I Love ‘Rim Job’ nails!! I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to try the design made famous by Madeline Poole. I used a striper brush and it was easier to do then I expected. Sorry about my ugly cuticles, the roadtrip to NY did some damage.

So after the initial shock set in and I accepted the fact that i really am moving to Japan. I remembered my little girl will be 8 when we come back to the states. And she’s never been to Disney, That is not right!!!!! We are planning a last minute trip to DisneyWorld. We will be leaving in the next few weeks and staying for about a week. I love Disney and went every year so I know how magical it is. I’m glad my daughter will get to experience that while she is young. Please excuse if I’m not posting as much nail art. My usual day to day life is completely different now that we have so much to prepare for. I hope your guys will still follow my adventures!!

Update to my last post. I am very excited about the adventures I can experience while living in Japan. But I am upset about a lot if things as well. I won’t come back to the states for several years because flights are so pricey. Saying goodbye to friends & family is hard. I hate taking my daughter from her Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles and they hate being so far from her. Its hard now and we are a 6 hour away. I worry about where we will live. The fact that My dogs will be quarantined for weeks. Selling our cars. Buying another one. Not speaking the language. Will we live in a small place that doesn’t fit any of my massive furniture. Schools for my daughter? Living half way around the world. WILL THEY SHIP MY NAIL POLISH?!?!???????????

Ughhhhhhhhh. And I’m going to be even more excited when my husbands tells me we move in like 6 weeks because that’s the military for you!

Speckled Egg Easter Mani 🐰💐

It’s a jelly sammich! 2 coats of OPI Step Right Up! 1 coat Rainbow Connection and 1 coat Don’t Touch My Tutu! It reminds me of speckled egg Easter candies or funfetti cupcakes! LOVE! Happy Easter!

One coat of OPI- Pirouette My Whistle over Don’t Touch My Tutu! So subtle yet so gorgeous!! I wish I could get married again because this would be my mani!! It also looks very similar to the widely popular, yet very rare Lynnderella- Snow Angel. When I first saw this collection I was very underwhelmed and kind of.. bored. But I love these polishes!! I can’t wait to make some Jelly Sandwiches with these colors!!

OPI- Don’t Touch My Tutu! is a gorgeous white jelly from the New York City Ballet Collection. They are soft shades and are very sheer. It took 4 very light coats to achieve this color. I am obsessed with this polish! It has such a clean look and looks great on short nails. I would imagine this a great color for Weddings. I think it would really pop with summer kissed tan skin!! I usually don’t care for sheer soft colors but Don’t Touch My Tutu! is a different story! I’m in love!!!

Oh and you can find this collection at JcPenney Salons. When you buy 2 or more polishes they are only $6 each!!

Absolutely Alice in direct sunlight. Woah. Gorgeous!!! Why is it that OPI can make such beautiful polishes like this, yet keep releasing the same old boring colors??!? C’mon OPI step it up a notch!!!!

Broke my stupid thumb nail and now I must hack away at the rest of my beautiful fingernails. Ughhh this is torture!!! I’m trying to stay positive by thinking of fun designs i can do with my stubs. but it’s still heartbreaking to chop away. I will miss youu!!! Starting g a crazy Nail Envy regime STAT!!
